People are so under the spell of being lucky that they don't see the little precious things they have. The clue to happiness is not to find the right things or the right people, it is about the way you live your life and about the goals you achieve.
Don't let yourself be pushed to the sideline by others,
but tie yourself to a goal. Stop looking so hard for happiness and perfection and do your own thing. Eventually you will see, if you achieve your goals, and you live your life the way you want, happiness will find you.
